The new Mac Pro is getting a lot of audio engineers *really* worked up.
Some friends at Sweetwater aren’t quite sure how folks are going to run their HDX systems on a computer that requires an extra $1000 Thunderbolt Chassis to hold PCIe cards.
Other engineers here in Nashville are finding incredibly cool alternatives to relying on Avid Hardware for all their IO needs.
For example, in this astoundingly in-depth review, our good friend and master reviewer Lynn Fuston has put the new 32 Ins and Outs Antelop Orion interface through it’s paces as a front end for Pro Tools…AND an iPad?
So what do you think? Is the new Mac Pro the future of Pro Audio, or a wild Apple goose chase?
